That’s my finished Squirmy Wormy sock and Tricia. I really should have taken more pictures. So many wonderful people there, and so much bacon. Yes, I said bacon. Sugarbee’s mama (aka Mimi) makes these little chicken-bacon-brown sugar morsels of heaven. And she made lumpia, and some sort of wonderful banana strawberry egg roll, and yeah. Dude, I might not need to eat for week. But here are pictures of the things I brought home with me, starting with my Third Date sock yarn.

Next we have my new love, my drop spindle and my starter fiber.

A lovely pink-orange batt for when I get better.

Doesn’t this look like fiber sushi?

You know I’ve talked about the colors on this cheap date yarn. But I think this picture speaks for itself. I mean in the sunlight the yarn positively glows with color. Yeah.

This is only my second post about bacon right? I mean, it’s not like I’m gonna need a whole bacon category. I think.

Today we hit Tar-jay in search of bargains and legos. I found a very nice green tee-shirt. If it fits well, I will go back and buy more. My problem is, as soon as I find a tee-shirt I love, they stop making it. Target isn’t the only criminal in this regard. Old Navy does it too. I’ve decided that from now on if I find a tee-shirt I like, I’m gonna buy one in every single color. I have high hopes for this green one. Let’s hope it washes well.

And then we come to the reason all women shop. Well at least the reason I shop. A sale. A markdown. But not just any markdown. A really juicy markdown. Oh let’s say 75% off?!?!?!

I’m not really a shoe person, or a purse person. I mean I use them, but I don’t love them. I basically wear my Mary Jane crocs exclusively (I have three pairs) and I carry my Vera until it wears out and I need a new one. But I do have a small-ish weakness for cute knitting bags. Not the pricey, brand-name ones. But cute, interesting ones. I actually have a very large bag in my office that just holds other knitting bags. So sad.

But this my friends, is the cutest knitting bag ever!

Don’t you just love it? No? Well that’s okay. Because I do. It’s red, it’s freaking gingham (picnicknits anyone?) and it has bacon on it! Bacon!

No they don’t do bacon interventions, so don’t even try. Besides I’m more enamored with the idea of bacon than I am with actually eating it. Love the bacon. You know you wanna.

I read once where someone compared bacon to a potato chip that was made out of meat. I have a bit of trouble wrapping my head around that one, but I guess it’s kind of right. What I do know is that I had bacon this morning for breakfast that was so good it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Yeah.

This is not our normal Gainesville driver. This is blogless Jackie. Jackie get a blog. All the cool kids have one!

This is however one of my regular partners in crime.

This is my new favorite place to take pictures. The dash of Jackie’s Pilot. Beautiful light, nice scenery, all around good deal.

Although in the front seat, navigating with our friend Carmen the Garmin, the light is pretty good in my lap too.

And finally we have man yarn. Edgewater to be exact. For man socks.

At least that’s what I told him when I got him. I got the whole day to run around with the girlies. The least I can do is make him a pair of socks. Right? Right. Must find man pattern for man socks.
