A tree grows in Jacksonville…

Actually it’s been growing for over 200 years. Treaty Oak is huge, and beautiful, and breathtaking. The branches are strong and heavy and gnarled, and they wind down upon themselves and grow right back into the ground. It’s one of my favorite things in this entire city.

I love this last picture. All of kids were laughing and smiling. All was right with the world. It was a good day.

Why yes, I am running out of bloggy inspiration. A bit. Actually I’m coming down with something and feeling quite wretched. So look at the pretty pictures and come back tomorrow. I’ll be more interesting then. Promise!
